Education Expo at Kokrajhar

An educational exhibition was held at Commerce College, Kokrajhar, May 5, 2013 which was organised by All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) along with support from North East Youth Foundation and Discovery Club. The main objective is to expose to the students about the career academic courses available in various institution in Kokrajhar in particular ad other places in general.

ABSU declared  the year 2006  as “Education Year” to work ahead with the objective to make all the people educated in the region with special care to Bodo medium education. From 2007-2015 they targeted as  “The Mission Quality Education” with the objective to bring quality education to the students.

The first session on the motivation and counseling session has been presided by Guneswar Goyary, Vice-President, the counsellors were Ranjan K Baruah who had spoken about the career options in front of more than 1000 students gathering, an Indian Army officer had spoken on the career in Army, Anirban Goswami spoke on the ingredients needed to become successful in life and Kwrwmdao Wary Education Secretary, ABSU spoke about why “Mission Quality Education”.

Different institution of the district took part and disseminated information about courses.  The students have visited the stalls of the institutions on display by the institutions present. Various students have expressed their satisfaction on the “Education Expo” one student Mwntai Brahma from Commerce College found it very useful being exposed to various career options by the counsellors. One girl student Darathi Basumatary from U.N. Academy said, “I am happy knowing more about the various career options narrated by the counsellors”.
