Four rhino poachers killed in Kaziranga
Four rhino poachers were killed on May 21 at the Kaziranga National Park in an encounter with forest guards. The encounter took place at Mihirmukh in the Kohara range during the time of a daily vigil by the guards. One .303 rifle was recovered from them. Mentionable that at least thirty five rhinos lost life in the hands of poachers in the last four years. Though the state government promised to take appropriate measures for the protection to the rhino but it is not seen even now.
