GNLA militants killed

Security forces claimed to have killed two dreaded GNLA militants at an encounter in Goalpara district bordering Meghalaya on Sunday.

According to information, the encounter took place during a combing operation at Borjhara area in Lakhipur in the wee hours.

Police further recovered pistols and some ammunitions from their possession. The Garo militants have been unleashing terror along the Assam-Meghalaya interstate border for the last couple of years.
