Govt trying to gag opposition: AGP, BJP

The Opposition parties have alleged that the government is trying to gag the Opposition parties before the commnecement of the monsoon session of Assembly.

Addressing a joint press conference on Thursday, AGP president Chandra Mohan said the government has failed on all front and that it was in a mood to confront the Oppoisition only to shift the focus on the Rs 1,000 crore scam in Dima Hasao district.

Assam BJP pesident Ranjit Dutta said the government will have to face the music if it continues to gag the Opposition's voice of protest with the help of NSUI and youth Congress activists. He said the government will be blamed if it tries in any form to disrupt Dispur dharna on Friday.
