Popular Talk on Child Rights held

Under the aegis of the Paresh Baishya Foundation, a charitable trust for enrichment of education and journalism, a talk on ' Child Rights and responsibilities of the society' was held at Guwahati Press club on May 28 .The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Suchitra Kakati, chairperson of the State Commission for protection of Child Rights while Monika Goswami Baruah , Principal of Maharshi Vidyamandir Senior Secondary School, Silpukhuri, presided over the meeting .BesidesNazneen Hussain,contributing-editor, Eclectic Times and Dr. Kanika Dutta Baruah, joint Director, Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam attended the function as special guests.Befitting the occasion , a children book written by paresh Baishya undre the title 'Shrestha Asomiyar Jivani' , containing life sketches 88 remounted persons of Assam , beginning from Sukafa to Dr. Bhabendra Nath Saikia was released in the function. Dr. Shyam Bhadra Medhi also spoke on this occaision .Besides, the recipents of the postal drawing contest organised by the Paresh Baishya Foundation was feted in the meeting.
