Rotaract Club held anti-terrorism campaign and a peace procession

On November 26, our country witnessed the biggest terrorist attack ever planned on the Indian soil. Hundreds of innocent people including the policeman and the armyman lost their life on that unholy terrorist attack. So after one year, the members of the Rotaract Club of Guwahati Midtown organised an anti-terrorism campaign wherein they placed a huge signature board outside the Handique Girls College so that the students of that college could write in their messages and show to the world that we are one and united. Approximately 600 people including the students,passers-by and the dignitaries participated in it.
Later in the evening, the members of the Rotaract Club of Guwahati Midtown held a peace procession- "Saluting the Spirit of Oneness" for the common people from Guwahati Club to Chandmari. The students of the Epitome College took very active participation in this procession. Each participants carried two candles and tied a black ribbon on their arms in the memory of those who lost their life during terrorist attacks, be it at any corner of the world and at any time of the year. The procession ended at the chandmari flyover where the participants lit the whole flyover with candles. It was an incredibly beautiful sight depicting the victory of goodness over evil.
