Sivasagar Mahila Congress Workers Meeting

The Sivasagar District Mahila Congress workers met here today in Naitya Mandir, Sivasagar to formulate its strategy keeping in view the coming Lok Shabha elections. At this meeting, which was addressed by its president N.Gohain, Mr.B.K.Handique Minister of State for Chemicals, Fertilizers and Mines,Govt. of India as the chief guest, Sri Pranab Gogoi, Minister of Handloom, Textile & Sericulture, Judicial and Legislative, Govt.of Assam as distinguished guest, Mr.Sarat Borkotoky, Dy. Chairman Planning Commission,Dr. Hemo Prava Saikia and Mr. Anjan Dutta were also present.

The Mahila Congress has decided to reach out to the people to apprise them of the policies and programmes of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre.
