Steps for Durga idol immersion

Amid a massive security arrangement Durga puja organizers are preparing to immerse the idols of the goddess on Thursday.  But a section of the organizers is refusing immerse the idols. This has forced the authorities to ask all Durga puja organizers to immerse the idols of the goddess on a same day. 

Guwahati is also gearing up for the immersion ceremony on the river Brahmaputra. The immersion will take place from 3 in the afternoon.
