Tiwa Aikyo Manch got 9 seats while BJP had to remain satisfied with 3 seats followed by AGP in one seat. Morigaon has 19 seats apart from 11 seats from Nagaon.

Amid tight security arrangement, votes were taken for counting at 8 in the morning which ended at 6 in the evening.

Meanwhile, Congress and TAM winners are celebrating the victory bursting fire crackers in many places while BJP leadership said that it would have hardly any impact on the assembly polls.
