YWOA for renewal of peace process
Our Correspondent Guwahati :The Youth Welfare Organisation, Assam (YWOA) has appealed to Assam Government to take positive step for renewal of the peace process with the banned ULFA to bring the outfit to the negotiating table and said dropped process should be once again taken up to be vigorously pursued to its logical and a bold fruitful end.

YWOA president Shyamanta Mahanta in a press release here appealed to the extremists group to put an end to the confrontation with the India Government and come to the negotiating table in the greater interests of the people of Assam. He has also appealed to all right thinking people of the State to see the writing on the wall, which speaks of total catastrophe for Assam especially in terms of economic growth.

Mahanta said the peace process initiated through between India Government and the Peace Consultative Group (PCG) seemed to open the vista towards an end in turmoil and usher in an era of prosperity. But sudden derailment of the peace process on the silly ground of not sending any written statement by the ULFA, has belied all hopes and aspiration of the people, he said.

Mahanta also urged both the Centre and the State government to show their positive steps towards the settlement of this burning issue by taking up the process forthwith
