Road mishap kill 2 in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: Two people were killed on the spot in a late-night road accident in Balajan Pakriguri under Kokrajhar police station.

According to police, two people were travelling on a bike and met with mishaps that claimed two people on the spot at a roadside parking dumper in Pakriguri along JD Road late at night around 2.15 am on Tuesday night under Kokrajhar police station.

The deceased were identified as Geremsha Swargiary (25) of Dumuruguri in Baksa district and Lwitwma Basumatary (26) of Narabari Kokrajhar.

Both were on their way to the town of Kokrajhar after attending a cultural programme late at night on a fresher's day at Bodoland University.

Basumatary was a passing out student at Bodoland University. Swargiary had recently completed his computer engineering degree from Delhi and was in Kokrajhar for the day at a friend's house to attend a wedding reception.Bodies of the persons were sent to Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital for a postmortem.
