12,969 D-Voters in Kokrajhar HPC
Altogether 12,969 voters are identified as ‘D’-Voters out of 15, 03,190 voters in the No.5 Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency.

Officer while speaking reporters on Saturday said there are altogether 15, 03,190 voters of which 12,969 voters are identified as ‘D’-Voters in all 10 LACs under Kokrajhar HPC. He has appealed the voters whose Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) were found mistakes to take other supporting documents to cast their votes during election.
Khade said that there are mistakes in the Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) for which the voters should not be confused about their franchise. He urged the voters to take supporting documents like Passport, Driving License, Service
I-card with photo, Bank and Post Office pass book, Pan Card, NREGA Job Card, Pension Document with photo, Smart Card, Adhar Card, etc.
He also said that the Booth Level Officer (BLO) will distribute Photo Voter’s slip to the voters in their respective households.
Moreover, he said that there will be a felicitation centre for
distribution of Photo Voters Slip at the time of election near the
polling centre.
Khade appealed the voters to take Photo Voter’s Slip along with them while exercising their franchise.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday. Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja of Baksa district. They were actively involved in extortion, arms smuggling and other nefarious and anti national activities and Adivasi carnage in December(2014) and had run away and sheltered themselves in Chennai, till their return.
