Campaign ends in Kokrajhar

The campaigning for the candidates from political parties and independents for No. 5 Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency in the third phase in the state which is scheduled on April 24 is concluded by 5 pm on Tuesday evening.

Kokrajhar is all set to conduct the parliamentary election scheduled on April 24 and preparations has so far completed.

BPF President and BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary attended his last campaign meeting for party candidate Chandan Brahma at Subashpolli Ward No.3 in Kokrajhar. Mohilary addressing the well attended meeting said that BPF party is working all round development for peoples of the region and stressing to gain more social development among all sections of community. He has appealed all communities to vote for party candidate Brahma and make way to pave integration in the region.

Sitting Transport minister and BPF candidate Chandan Brahma held last campaign meeting at Bengtal Tukrajhar in Chirang while BTC executive member Mono Kumar Brahma also addressed his campaign meeting Banargaon Kwirwguri in Kokrajhar district.

Meanwhile, former Rajya Sabha MP and independent candidate Urkhao Gwra Brahma addressed his last campaign meeting at Kalpani under Sarbhog LAC in a well attended gathering in Barpeta district. Brahma expressed his confident said that he will win the election in huge voting and no any candidate influence on his win.Brahma’s candidature  is backed by ABSU,BPPF,NDFB(P),UDPF and PJACBM

Promod Boro, ABSU president held his last campaign meeting for Independent candidate at Kaoli under Tamulpur LAC in Baksa district today.

Independent candidate Naba Kumar Sarania @ Hira campaigned his meeting at Basugaon Hekaipara under Sidli LAC.

Nitin Khade, Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar Returning Officer for No. 5 Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat said that district administration has completed all preparation to conduct the election in free and fair manner in the district. He said that all concern departments have been involving in doing their concern duties.
