Preparations have reached the final stage in Guwahati to host the East Zone Ranji Trophy One Day cricket match from Tuesday to be held in Nehru Stadium and Maligaon NF Railway stadium. According to information, ten matches are in the schedule this time. The participating teams from Orissa, Jharkhand, Tripura have already arrived in the city. The Bengal team is arriving on Monday, say the organizers here adding that two former star cricketers Debashish Mohanty and Opener Shiv Sundar Das have also accompanied their teams to Guwahati. ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa and his military sopkesman Raju Baruah have been remanded to judicial custody after they were produced before the camp court inside the Guwahati Central jail on Saturday.
Rajkhowa's security guard Raja Borah who was also produced in the camp court would be taken to Dibrugarh in connection with a pending case against him. Rajkhowa and two others were remanded to 9 day police custody in connection with serial explosion in the Guwahati city on January 1 this year.
