A businessman was killed and another sustained injury when suspected NDFB-S militants exploded a powerful grenade in Dalgaon on Saturday night. The incident took place near the office of the Bargang Tea Estate when two motorcycle born militants lobbed the grenade at the tea garden office. Businessman Kavil Chand Jain was killed on the spot while Ramakanta Tiwari who is a staffer at the tea garden sustained serious injury. Security forces arrived in the spot and cordoned off the area to nab the militants. But they managed to escape. The injured Tiwari is battling for life at the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. Nobody has claimed the responsibility of the explosion. It might be the handiwork of NDFB-S militants who have been unleashing terror for extortion in the tea garden.
