Is there any politics behind the arrest of Ranjan Daimary? Is it a political conspiracy? Its absolutely correct if NDFB is to be believed. The outfit on Saturday said that Daimary’s rearrest was nothing but a political conspiracy which was why despite government affidavit raising no objection to bail, the NDFB boss was denied bail by the TADA court. It alleged that the government and the judiciary are trying to sabotage the hard earned peace process. In a statement, NDFB general secretary B Ohnjalu said that Daimary has never demanded to be released on bail with a pre-condition of peace process. He was released on bail as a result of prolonged negotiation between them and the Centre. ‘It is not only strange but also interesting to note the verdict of the TADA court that he had been using the Pre-condition of bail as the pressure tactic and black mailing the state. The Judge simply worked on the basis of the report submitted to the Public Prosecutor by the Home and Political Department and not on the affidavit of the Assam government submitted to the court, said NDFB in the statement.

Security forces from Assam Police and Army have claimed to capture two-over ground worker (OGW)/linkmen of Kamatapur Liberation Organisation(KLO) from Thuribari area in Kokrajhar district on Wednesday. Women’s Day celebrated at NTPC

Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project also joined the rest of the country in celebrating International Women’s Day here at Salakati on Tuesday in Kokrajhar district.
