Antony takes stock of of Indo-China border situation

Union Defence Minister A.K. Antony and army chief General Deepak Kapoor are visiting Tawang on Sunday to take stock of the Indo-China border situation. Both they arrived in Tezpur on Saturday on a two-day visit to the region.

Mr Antony will be the second high-level dignitary to visit Arunachal Pradesh following China's criticism of the visit of the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to the frontier state. The minister is set to visit Tawang, where China has her claims. Besides, Defence Secretary Vijay Singh and Eastern Command Goc-in-c Lt Gen V K Singh. He would be briefed by army officials at the headquarters of 4th Corp at Tezpur and is set to interact with army personnel at Tenga in West Kameng district.
