ABSU conferred Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasad Bantha
The All Bodo Students Union ( Absu) felicitated and conferred the 10th Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasad Bantha to the topper students who had topped in Bodo medium in the HSLC examination at a programme held at Rowmari in Chirang district today.
Altogether 13 students were topped in 10 in Bodo medium across the state where Pranita Basumatary of Tamulpur UN Academy scripted in first position among scoring 91.66 percentage .
A total of 909 students successfully passed in first division in the HSLC examination in 2015 in Bodo medium.
Dr. Hitesh Deka, vice chancellor of Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University graced the function as chief guest, with Promod Boro, president of the Absu in the chair.
Among others, Ranjan Bhuyan, SP Chirang, Rwngwra Narzary, MCLA and former adviser of Absu were also present.
Promod Boro, president of the Absu urged the the students to be dedicated while taking higher studies. He has also appealed all anchalik committees to take care of building educational integration among students.

The 1st 250 MW UNIT of NTPC Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project,Salakati has been test synchronised successfully with NE Regional Grid today in Kokrajhar.The synchronisation enables the Unit to send power to the grid from its generation.
