The BJP party has strongly the eying of Gogoi that the voter list of 2014 be involved in the updation of NRC.The slammed the Chief Minister Gogoi said that Gogoi is taking his political vested interest that is why he is stepping to include the voter list of 2014 so that all citizens of the state could be included in the NRC updating.
Sibnath Brahma,president of Kokrajhar district committee of BJP told that remarks from Gogoi was not acceptable and he was spoking about party gain interest through NRC updation.He has demanded the NRC updation should be done through based year of 1971 and identify the illegal migrants from the state.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday. Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja of Baksa district. A businessman was hospitalized after attacked with sharp weapon by miscreants at Champa bazaar area on Friday evening in Kokrajhar district. He was identified as Naba Das of Belsar in Nalbari district, who was involved with stealing of a four wheeler Mahindra pick up van bearing registration AS-16C-2207.
