All Adivasi Students Association of Assam founder Justin Lakra is dead of prolonged illness.
Lakra,was a prominent students union leader among Adivasi community in Assam and was associated with BPF
party since 2012 and holding organising secretary in the party,was taking treatment in New Delhi and
Guwahati following suffering from illness since few months.
He has breathed his last in the morning in GNRC and left
his wife and family members.
He was 45 and hailed from Padmabil village under
Gossaigaon sub-division of Kokrajhar district.
BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary,who is also president of
BPF party expresses his condolence for untimely demise
of Lakra.
Lakra was holding organising secretary in BPF party,
Mohilary said with dead of Lakra party and family has
lost a great leader among society.Lakra has been a one
of the prominent leader of Adivasis of Assam,who had
played important role in dousing the fire of communal
frenzy in Bodoland area as a towering BPF leader.
‘His(Lakra) demise has left an irreparable loss to the
society and a vaccum difficult to fill up in the
party’, Mohilary said.
The party president had given all expensive of his
treatment in Delhi and Guwahati and too sent Rs.
345,000 required for his release from the GNRC
hospital and the party prays for heavily abode for the
departed soul, a source from BPF party added.
