NDFB-S deputy C-in-C arrested

In a major breakthrough, Kokrajhar police apprehended deputy commander in chief (C in C) of NDFB-S from Sesapani forest area this morning in Kokrajhar and managed to recovered arm and live ammunition from his possession.

BTAD IGP,Dr LR Bishnoi while addressing the reporters at SP office in Kokrajhar told that the deputy C in C of NDFB-S identified as Dhananjay Daimary@Doisrang(30), hardcore leader and cadre of 26th batch was arrested thus morning around 8.45 am from Sesapani area in Kokrajhar district.

Dhananjay was closed associate of G Bidai and I Songbijit was on planning to create trouble and organising for causing subversive activities in the district. He was also main conspirator of the Adivasi carnage of December 20th last ant involved with killing of Priya Basumatary, a school going student last year in Chirang.

He said that police recovered five number of 36 hand grenades, 100 rounds of AK 47 ammunition, one mobile handset along with two sim cards were recovered from him.

Bishnoi claimed that with his arrest the outfit organization has given a big jolt to the militant outfit.

'It was a biggest success of the Kokrajhar police under the command of Shyamal Prasad Saikia, SP Kokrajhar', he added.

Bishnoi also said that the police administration has bed conducting strong operations against militants in the districts of BTAD, and managed to killed 15 numbers of hardcore leader and cadres, besides arrest of 204 cadre and linkmen since January to this August month. He said that police recovered AK series riffle 21, M 16 riffle 2, one HE riffle, one inchase riffle, 126 pistol, two point 3 riffle, 3684 rounds of live bullets, 82 kgs of explosives, two IED, two car, 10 bikes and 130 numbers of mobile handsets were recovered the militant outfit organization.

The NDFB-S has now met strong setback as high rank leader and hardcore cadres are being arrested by security forces since January,Bishnoi added.
