MP Ninong Ering carried out a whirlwind tour to Anpum, Paglam, Namsing in Pasighat which have been ravaged by the recent flood. The Mebo-Dhola road have been breached at the several places cutting off the road communication which is causing great inconvenience to the populace. The fury of nature was so harsh that more than 100 houses of Anpum including Loglung villages have been washed away. Hundreds of acres of standing crops has been damaged. The entire areas was submerged during the flood. Though the situation is still grim, the people are struggling hard to cop ups with the situation.
Interacting with aggrieved families at Anpum, the MP expressed profound sorrow and pain for them. He donated one lakh and sanctioned ten lakhs for immediate relief to the effected people.
While attending the Solung celebration at Paglam, the MP lauded the people of the area especially Kalom Ering, Head Master of Paglam Govt. Secondary School for enthusiasm to maintain the culture and tradition against all odds. Celebration of such festivals not only help to maintain culture and tradition but also foster unity and brotherhood, he said.
Ering said that for long lasting solution to the chronic flood related problems of the area, a major project have to be taken up for which, he assured that he will discuss with the Chief Minister. He also assured that he will highlight the grievances and actualnsituation of the area to the central government.
The MP sanctioned three lakhs for development of primary school and seven lakhs for secondary school, Paglam. He advised them to construct the buildings on raised pillers so that flood water does not effect them.
