Panther Club lifts trophy
Panther Club of Parbatjhora lifted the champion trophy of Monsoon Football Championship organized by civil military liaison and relations of the 3rd Rajput Regiment of the army at Patharghat in Kokrajhar in the final match being played at SAI Stadium defeating United Club of Diglipara 5-3 goals via tiebreaker on Wednesday.
The match drew 2-2 till the end of the match.
The Panther Club of Parbatjhora show their brilliant performance and dominated the opponent in most of the time. They scored two goals in second half but the united club players could equalized it. In the tie-break, the Parbatjhora could win the match.
Deputy Chief of BTC Kampa Borgoyary handed over the championship trophy and Runners up trophy in presence of BTC executive member for Sports and Youth Welfare department Doneswar Goyary, CO of the 3rd Regiment and other officials.
Among others, BTC executive member Rajib Brahma, DSO Kokrajhar Jaigyabati Mohilary and Secretary of KDSA Sarada Paul were present in the prize distribution function.

Two hard core cadre of the National Democratic Front of Boroland-Songbijit faction (NDFB-S) were killed in an encounter with security forces on Sunday at North Auzarguri under Serfanguri police station in a joint operation launched by police and army in Kokrajhar district. Security forces belonging to police and army apprehended a senior cadre of National Santhali Liberation Army (NSLA) in a joint operation launched today at Shiyalmari area under Serfanguri police station in Kokrajhar. BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary laid foundation stones of Directorate of the Economic & Statistics and Directorate of Labour & Employment office at Baghichagaon, Kokrajhar on Wednesday. The Economic & Statistics office would be constructed at a cost of one crore under 2016-17 financial year while the Labour & Employment office building would be constructed amounting of 1.42 crores under 2016-17 BTC financial year.
