Curious UFO in sky!

An unidentified object hovering around the sky in upper Assam pulled no less spell of curiosity among lakhs of people on Wednesday evening.

Much to the utter surprise and curiosity, the comet like object was spotted in the sky in and around the Naharkatiya area at around 9 in the evening forcing the people to come out of their homes to watch the strange objects. But there was no conclusion even from the experts.

The same object struck the heavy attention of the people in Dibrugarh district on Tuesday night.

 

Meanwhile, ISRO officials in Shillong told Assam Times that they were not aware of such objects in the sky. But they said if it is spotted it might be drones.

whether ISRO or NASA they will never confess that ufos are of extraterrestrial origin...i have witnessed an ufo from the front yard of my house in jorhat,assam, india on 23rd june 2015...the ufo hovered for about 40mins and finally shot off at lightning speed into the night sky..it can travel at the blink of an eye and i dont think that a drone has that technology...if drones can accelerate at lightning speed then we sud able to go for interstellar travel sitting in a drone itself..whatever i saw was nothing made on earth..nothing made om earth has technology to accelerate away and shot off at the speed of lightning

Yes. I live in dibrugarh 2days after this event i saw a ufo around 8pm while i was talking to my friend on phone suddenly i heard a loud noise and the phone's signal was lost.my frined too heard ths noise. I looked up and i saw a big ufo with purple light hovering on top of me. I quickly went inside and called my mom and sister. When they came it went away in a lighting size and became like a star but was moving very fast. My friend also saw the ufo

Naga peace not at cost of Assam

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi reiterated that he would not give up even an inch of land in the name of the recent Naga peace process. In his address at the Veterinary Playground in Khanapara after unfurling the tricolour on Saturday, Gogoi said that Assam was never averse to peace and normalcy in the neighbouring state. But in the same breath, he said, the government would not allow any genuine Indian citizen to be harassed.  His announcement assumed significance a week after a police team was beaten up by a group of local Congress men in Morigaon when they were trying to arrest a family of Bangladesi immigrants acting on a high court order.

KPLT utras held in Karbi Anglong

Security forces claimed to have captured 4 dreaded KPLT militants during a combing operation in KarbiAnglong district of Assam on Saturday.Acting on a tip of army, police and para military forces conducted the operation in Nongmeli area wheretheyheldthe 4 Karbi militants in the wee hours.Police further seized a huge cache of arms from their possession. They were arrested two days after security forces held at least 8 dreaded Karbi militants including the self style commander in chief. 

Senior journo ailing

There is no let-up in the condition of senior journalist Hiten Mahanta who has been undergoing treatment at the GNRC Hospitals in Guwahati.He was brought to GNRC on August 5 immediately after he was believed to have sustained head injury. A team of experts led by senior neurosurgeon Dr. Deva Kumar Borgohain and Dr. Prasenjit Deka has been attending on the senior journalist.He is a known patient of stroke, high blood pressure and normal pressure hydrocephalus and received treatment for stroke earlier at GNRC itself. According to treating physicians he is in a critical condition.

Assam youth dies in A’chal custody

The mysterious death of a Assamese youth inside a police station in Arunachal Pradesh creates no less sensation and anger across Dhemaji.Identified as Abhijit Deka, the youth from Dhemaji district was found dead inside the Naharlogun police station on Thursday night four days after police picked up him from his rented room at Basbari near Harmoti.Police call it a suicide case. But local residents in Harmoti came to know the incident only on Friday morning forcing them to demand a probe into the incident.

BJP dharna over Don Bosco issue

Guwahati BJP leaders and activists staged dharna in the city on Friday demanding immediate release of four of their partymen who were arrested charging them throwing out the Don Bosco statue in Bharalu recently.More than 100 partymen assembled at the Dighalipukhuri in the morning alleging that the Tarun Gogoi government has been doing politics over the sensitive issue.Notably, Bharalu police recently arrested a local BJP councilor along with three others accusing of vandalizing the statue hours before it was to be unveiled at a park.

NSCN-K militants killed

Setback for KPLT; chief held
