Calf rally in Kokrajhar

An awareness meeting on artificial insemination and calf rally, organised by ICDP, BTC in association with Veterinary officer, key village centre, Kokrajhar was held at Balajan near Bodoland University in Kokrajhar today. 

BTC executive member for Veterinary and Animal Husbandary department Shyam Sundi inaugurated the rally graced as chief guest. 

Sundi inspected the calf and interacted with owners of the calf about care taking of the animals. 

He said that BTC administration was working to make diseases free situation of the animals. 

'Farmers should step to devote dedication while taking care of animals and stress to earn livelihood among society', Sundi said. 

He has expressed his confidence that animal husbandry can extend economy sustainable to the common citizens.

Rahila Brahma, Secretory BTC, Dr Dilip Bhuyan, BTC CHD were prominent attendies in the programme.

Mohilary takes stock of flood in Chirang

The Chief of BTC Hagrama Mohilary today visited Chirang district to assess the damages caused by the recent flood in the district. In this regard, he held meeting with the district administration and interacted with the district heads of the departments in the conference hall of the DC's office here. After taking stock of the damages from all departments, he asked the officials to submit details assessment reports touching everything lost due to flood for restoration and mitigation of demages for sanctioning fund from the Central Govt. NRC update meets healthy implementation

At least 110% NRC updation was met in Kokrajhar district as today is the last day of the NRC form submission across the state.Madhav Prasad Sarma, Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner told reporters today that the district has met implementation of 110% in the NRC updation and peoples joined whole heartedly in the process under the guidelines of the Supreme Court.He said that peoples from walks of life stepped to the NRC Seva Kendra and joined to fill up forms in the district. Two hardcore cadre of NDFB-S killed

Security forces claimed to have killed two hardcore cadre of NDFB-S in an encounter at Auxiguri-Auguri area under Auguri PS in Chirang district early this morning. A joint team of security forces belonging to Assam Police, CRPF cobra battalion and Army raided the area and held exchange of fire where two hardcore cadre of the Ndfb-s militant outfit were killed, duo were involved killing of Priya Basumatary, a school going student last year, a senior police officer told. One of duo was identified as Gumsang Basumatary @ Gunda and another was yet to identified. The Gumsang was platoon commander of Chirang district.
