ABSU demands inquiry against hospital anomalies

The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) demands magisterial inquiry into anomalies and corrupted administration of Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital which has become death trap for poor patients.

Premjit Narzary, president and Nion Mushahary, general secretary of Kokrajhar district unit of ABSU in an issued statement condemned the corrupted administration of the hospital which has become death trap for poor patients.  Information revealed that the hospital has acquired many latest types of equipment for advanced treatment like Ultra Sonography, ECG, X-ray machine, Laparoscopy machine etc. But all these equipments are not being used, most of the time the Doctors directly ask the  attendant to take the patients to the private laboratory for blood test, X-ray and other diagnosis, so the poor patients have to depend on the private Laboratories spending a lot of money.

As per the opinion of public the patients gets only bed in the hospital and  they need purchase all the medicines from outside pharmacies, the hospital authority provides only a kind of saline after bed and all medicines are to be brought from outside’, leaders said.

‘No free treatment is seen in Kokrajhar RNB Civil Government Hospital, the Hospital might have been selling government supply free medicine as all patients are forced to buy all the medicine and surgical equipment from outside pharmacies’,the students union leaders added.

The student union leaders makes a strong demand to the  Deputy Commissioner Kokrajhar, the BTC and State Government to take necessary steps for magisterial inquiry to redress the unwanted anomalies immediately.
