Anundoram Borooah Award presented at Udalguri
A total of 1,006 HSLC candidates who secured first division from among 6,058 candidates passed in the last 2015 HSLC examination under Udalguri district were presented the prestigious Anundoram Borooah Award at the Deputy Commissioner’s parade ground. The award was instituted by the State Government. It carries a laptop and a citation each.
Addressing the students as the chief guest, Dr Luke Daimari, principal of Udalguri College, advised them to learn lessons of hard labour and perseverance from the great souls of the past to make their future more ideal and society oriented.
Nabin Chandra Boro, Inspector of Schools of Udalguri district, told the students to keep their tempo in a usual speed to acquire success in future life.
The meeting was chaired by Sadhana Hojai, Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri district, while it was anchored by Munin Sarmah, Nazir of Udalguri DC office.The meeting was attended by Dimple Baruah, Assistant Commissioner of Schools, and host of school heads of the total 113 high and higher secondary schools of the district.
