District administration, Kokrajhar has ordered all trader and retailers to hang rate chart hording of the commodities in front of their shop and whole sale, otherwise stern action would be checked through proper legal activities.

Meanwhile, BTC executive member Bonjar Daimary on Thursday kicks start inauguration of Amar Dokan(Jwngni Ghola) at JD Road near Bajwi Hotel in Kokrajhar.

Daimary inaugurated Amar Dokan, an initiative under Food & Civil Supply department to give cheapest rate of commodities in the region as well state. Each district BTAD will get 100 Amar Dokan facilities in the region. Citizens are getting best opportunity to buy the daily needy commodity at cheapest rate while leading daily life through the Amar Dokan.

Daimary said that BTC administration and government were working for the welfare of citizens across the state. BTAD administration starts from today by opening Amar Dokan in Kokrajhar where citizens are getting cheapest rate of commodities. A total of 400 Amar Dokan,each district 100 Amar Dokan will be opened in all four districts.

‘We have been trying to provide peoples welfare through opening such Dokan in the region’,Daimary added.

Madhav Prasad Sarma, Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner while attending the programme said that district administration has been taking stern measure to check price hikes. He said that an ordered has been issued to hang rate charts hording in front of all retail shop and whole sale so that customer and citizens should not face any hardship. He also warns to take legal action if retail shop and whole sale do not display rate chart in front of the shops.

“District administration has issued an order to put rate chart in front of retailer shop and wholesale while trading in the district. We have checked price hikes on commodities and instructions have been issued to maintain fixed rates frame from district administration”,Sarma added.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar.
