Tailoring workshop

With an aim to help the rural women folks to solve the monetary crisis and thereby make them self-independent a 10 days workshop on tailoring training course has been organized under the aegis of Srishti NGO in collaboration with social welfare government of Assam from August 4.

A total of 40 women took part in the workshop. The programme was inagurated by village headmen Dimbeswar Boro. Krishna Baruah is the instructor who will train the women.

Forest Guard Fatally Attacked by Tiger in Orang National Park

Orang National Park, Assam: A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday evening, August 28, 2024, when a forest guard was fatally attacked by a Royal Bengal Tiger.
