Adivasis observe Karam festival
The Adivasi community offered their worship to the almighty Shiva god on the occasion of Adivasi Karam festival at Karigaon Dhanpur ground in Kokrajhar district on Monday. It was organized by Raji Parha Bharat Sammelon, Dhanpur, which is an Adivasi cultural festival. It is agriculture based festival of Adivasi community. This festival has been observed every year on this day of Bhadra month.
We have been observed this festival since immemorial of times among Adivasi society where we offer our dedication and worship to Karam devote, said Raju Kerkato and Budra Mathua, organizers of the festival said. The festival has been observed since immemorial of Adivasi community as community lives on agriculturists. An Adivasi cultural showcase was also presented on the occasion.
“We observe this festival on Bhadra month to offer our worship.It has been observing since immemorials of times among Adivasi community”,organizers added.

A six day master trainers’ training programme on integrated & sustainable solid & liquid resource management (SLRM) project under Swachch Bharat Mission,was started from Monday at Bodofa Cultural complex in Kokrajhar district.
