Over 25 GPC member-journalists along with their relatives participated in the evening OPD and got free consultations on various ailments like back-neck- knee pain, major fractures, arthritis etc. Apollo’s marketing officer Roopjyoti Baruah assisted in conducting the camp.

Stunned by widespread criticism, the Centre is understood to have been preparing to clear the decks for deporting 17 Bangladeshi immigrants by Thursday. According to sources, the clearance if received in time, the Karimganj district authorities would hand over these immigrants in the morning at Steamerghat near Karimganj town to the Border Guards Bangladesh jawans. Union home ministry is believed to have been caught in an utter confusion when the Karimganj district authorities were preparing to deport 17 Hindu Bangladeshi immigrants.
