Wild jumbo injures 3 at Udalguri

At a time when man- elephant conflict in Udalguri district has taken one of the worst turn a loner wild jumbo created havoc at Khoiragrant area of Attarekhat under Udalguri district on Friday night. Reportedly while the loner created havoc in the village at midnight. Villagers tried to chase away the jumbo when it injured three persons out of which Kumar Pokre (35) and Ranjan Das (45) are in critical state while Tohor Kishor Porrorel (40) sustained minor injuries. The wild loner also ransacked couple of dwelling house and damaged crops and betelnut trees. The havoc of wild elephants has created a sense of fear and insecurity among villagers of Indo-Bhutan border area of Udalguri .
