The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) has warned to file writ petition in high court seeking proper educational rights.
The students union slammed state government and Assembly state textbook production and publication corporation for delayed supply and shortages textbooks for Bodo medium schools in the state. Bodo medium schools still today have been facing 35% shortages of textbooks in their curriculum.
Speaking the reporters at a Press Conference held at Bodofa House, head office of ABSU in Kokrajhar, Kwrwmdao Wary, Secretary, ABSU said that the Bodo medium has still today 35% shortages of textbooks besides several errors found on supplying books in the various subjects.
ABSU leader slammed state government and Assam state textbook production and publication corporation for delaying of textbook supply and shortages of books.
Wary has warned to file a writer petition to High Court under Article 226A seeking proper educational rights in the state seeking ensure the fundamental right to the education under Article 21A of constitution of India.He said Bodo medium has been deprived from proper educational rights in the state dye to negligence of the state government.
He demanded state government should take stern step to make proper supply of books. He told that most of the supply books were found errors in printing, which included mathematics, hindi etc. He has alleged that state government has been discriminating the Bodo medium schools. He demanded government should provide proper recruiting opportunity to the Bodo medium schools in the state.
