Sonowal gets tougher with insurgents

Assam chief minister vowed stern action against the rebels a day after three Assam Rifles jawans died in s gory attack by ULFA-I and NSCN-K joint attack in Tinsukia.

Talking to reporters in Guwahati he said the government will ensure peace and normalcy at any cost. “We want to stick to zero tolerance on insurgency In any form. We live to fight for the people. We are born to fight,”said the chief minister on Monday.

In a major setback for BJP two months before the Assam Assembly polls, the Asom Gana Parishad is set to reject the poll alliance with the saffron party.
