Anundoram Borooah awards distributed

 A total 934 students are being awarded Anundoram Borooah, who were stood in first division in the HSLC examination 2016 in Kokrajhar district at a programme held at Basic Training Centre hall on Wednesday.

The Kokrajhar district administration ceremonially distributed laptop under the Anundoram Borooah Award scheme,2016 among the first division holder students. Among the first divion holders, 910 are given away laptop and 24 are giving away cash under the award(Rs.13,500 each), of which today 547 students under Kokrajhar Sadar sub-division were given away the laptops along with certificate each. The students of Gossaigaon subdivision and Parbhatjhora subdivision would be given away the laptops later.

BTC executive member Doneswar Goyary graced as chief guest and lighted the lamp with paying floral tribute to the portrait of Anundoram Borooah on the occasion.Goyary having handed over the awards among awardees, has urged students community to be dedicated while taking higher studies in their life. Kokrajhar deputy commissioner Bibekananda Choudhury also spoke the function.Students expresses their happieness after receiving the awards said that it is an inspiration moment for students as goovernment honoured the students by conferring awards in the state.

Inspector of school,Kokrajhar district circle  Jagadish Brahma told that the district administration formally distributed the awards among first division holders in the district.This year district saw better results in the HSLC examination as percentage in first division has increased in comparison to previous years.
