Science Express pulls crowd

 Students, teacher and common publics enjoyed the various product and influence showcasing of sciences & technology at the Science Express-Biodiversity Special(SEBS),an innovative mobile exhibition at Fakiragram railway station on Sunday in Kokrjhar district.

The Science Express train reached at Fakiragram junction railway station right at 10 am from Salmari of Bihar with two-day programme scheduled and displayed all science related issues till 5 pm where thousands of students from vraious school,college,teacher and common publics tronged at the station and enjoyed information about science and its activities.The train will reach Lumding on Tuesday where it to be displayed on April 11 and 12.

 The Science Express,an initiative has been collaborative initiative of department of Science & Technology and Ministry of  Environment,Forest and Climate Change,Government of India for showcasing of state of the art exhibition aboard to create awareness on biodiversity of India,climate change and similar issues among various sections  of the society,especially the students.

 The train comprises 16 coach Air Condition(AC) on an especially designed,has put up exhibition in eight coaches that are solely dedicated to showcasing the myriad biodiversity spread across the bio-geographical zones of India like Trans-Himalaya & Himalaya,the gigantic plant,northeast India,the western ghats,the Indian deserts,the semi-Arid zone,the Deccan peninsula and Coasts and the Islands.The exhibittion has also covered various other facets like marine,coastal,forest,microbial and agro-biodiversity and their linkage with livelihoods along with challenges of their conservation.

Student and teachers expressed their pleasurable getting enjoyed of Science Express at Fakirgaram in Kokrajhar district. It has attracted with giving a scope to see all science related topics and livelihood of the society.

‘This is a good initiative konwlegde gathering fir students community.We are very glad having seen such initiative from science & technology department to gain information among students community in the country’,said students.

Santala Basumatary,a teacher in Fakiragram appreciated the express train’s informative innovation for the society said that it will be helping student community in gathering of knowledge.

“I think it is a very attractive venture to encourage students for taking information about science & technology in today’s era’,he added.

Dr Rubul Baruah,project in-charge of the express train told that the train has been organising showcases of science & technology among student and common citizens. Respond over the exhbition is good and gathered good visitors at the stations.

‘We are organising this mobile exhibition on science & technology across the country. The train is scheduled to halt at various stations in Assam and Tripura of the northeastern states.Student and common peoples are thronging to see the exbhition’,Dr Baruah said.

A project staff and in-charge of the train said that the train will stop two stations in Assam-Fakiragram and Lumding and displayed the showcased.The train has aimed to create awareness about science and environment to the student and common publcs of the country so that people can know about sciences in today’s life. It has been showcasing especially climate change on the globe.

Kokrajhar: UPPL chief Pramod Boro took oath as BTC Chief Executive Member along with 4 others as his executive member—2 from BJP and one from GSP on Monday. Kokrajhar: BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary has urged BJP leadership to help his party retain BTC hours after his party fell short of numbers. Mohilary told newsmen that they are still with BJP-led coalition which needs to be retain. His statement assumes significance when BJP, UPPL, GSP are finalizing the BTC minus BPF.
Kokrajhar: Ganasakti Party has also come in support of UPPL-BJP coalition to form BTC since ruling BPF fell short of 3 seats at the end of the poll counting on Sunday we hours. State BJP president Ranjit Das,  senior BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP general secretary Dilip Saikia, UPPL chief Pramod Boro and GSP chief Nabo Sarania met early in the morning in Dispur and finalised the entire deal.  This could formally end the BPF's alliance with BJP where 3 ministers might resign in a day or two. Notably, BPF emerged the single largest party with 17 seats, UPPL got 12, BJP 9, 1 seat each for GSP and Congress. AIUDF drew blank.
Kokrajhar: The political landscape is set to undergo a sea change 5months ahead of assembly polls. UPPL and BJP are set to form BTC since BPF has failed to reach the magic mark of 21 in the polls where counting ended midnight. Even after the ruling party could not touch the magic mark, it emerged the largest party with 18 seats---falling short of 3 seats. On the other hand resurgent UPPL has won 12 seats and is holding talks with BJP to form the council which got 9 seats. Congress and AIUDF could not open the account while Gana Sakti Party had to remain satisfied with just a single seat.
