As many as 40 ultras belonging to ULFA, ANLA and KLNLF are set to surrender before army on Friday. According to sources, these rebels will lay down their arms at a function being organised at Rangia by the Red Horn Division at 12 noon.
The function will be attended by 21st Mountain Division General Officer Commanding major general Chander Prakash.
In yet another development on Thursday, three ULFA pro talk top guns Jiten Dutta, Jun Bhuyan and Prabal Neog called on ULFA's political adviser Bhimkanta Burahgohain at Tezpur jail and sought his support to carry forward the peace deal.
