The United Peoples Party Liberal (UPPL) has urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday to declare clear cut policies and decisions to resolve growing unemployment problems which have triggered growth of militancy and extremism in the region as well in the region. The Prime Minister is visiting Guwahati on Friday to attend celebrtaion of one-year completion at Dispur and three years completion of BJP led alliance government at Centre.
Former Rajya Sabha MP and president of UPPL Urkhao Gwra Brahma,in a press statement said the PM’s visiting in Guwahati is remarkable visit on its three-years completion at centre and one year led by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Dispur. Assam state epecially,needs various much developmental spirits to gain growth and resources be protected.He said that flood and erosion problems which have drastically changed the topography of various localities,degenerated agriculture economy and produced thousands of landless peoples in the state.He said that PM Modi should declare strong steps to check flood and erosion in the state.
Brahma urging PM Modi to take bold step while solving the militancy issues said, ‘Peace process with some rebellion groups particularly with NDFB and ULFA,who have already joined the process of dilaogue’.
‘Solve the Bodo problems in inclusive way including other ethnic problems so that the Bodoland region could see healthy and integrated region’,Brahma said.
He has also put appealed PM Modi to solve several problems of land settlement of the indigenous and tribal people,relief and rehabilittaion of displaced people due to various situation like flood and civil conflicts and process of NRC updating expeditiously and remove all hurdles in detection and identification of all illegal citizens.
