Guwahati Mayor visits Kokrajhar
Mrighen Sarania, Mayor of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) visited in Kokrajhar to take stock of the implementation of Solid & Liquid Resources Management (SLRM) project, initiated by Kokrajhar Municipality Board on Saturday.
Sarania along with other officials from GMC held a meeting with chairman of KMB and Kokrajhar DC. He inspected the SLRM project sites in Kokrajhar town where all collected garbages are being segregated through cleaning up as well recycle methods. He also met staff and involved staffs of the SLRM project and shared views on the working policy has been put stress on the cleanliness measures.
‘We are here to take stock and note about the implementing of SLRM project which has been being taken by KMB to make Kokrajhar neat and clean’, Sarania said.
Bishnu Narzary, chairman of KMB told that the project started hardly one year. He said that citizens of Kokrajhar town responded well on the project engaging local people.
