The city based Dispur Hospitals on Saturday (29 July) conducted the evening OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club, where Dr Udayan Saikia offered free consultations to over 30 media persons along with their dependents. Consultation on Climate Change held

North East Dialogue Forum, a network of civil society organisation has organised two days state level consultation related to climate change at Bosco Reach Out, Guwahati on 24 and 25 July. Ranjan K Baruah of North East Youth Foundation mentioned about the state climate action plan and presented about proposed activities of different departments. SIMS doctor conducts media clinic

Dr Patta Radhakrishnan (gastroenterology surgeon) from SIMS Hospital conducted the last evening OPD clinic on 22 July at Guwahati Press Club (GPC) for the benefit of its members along with their dependents. Over 30 media persons participated in the camp, which was supervised by Binay Hatikakoti from the Chennai based Hospital. The next weekly clinic at the press club premises will be conducted by the city based Dispur Hospitals on 29 July. Participants will be offered free consultations in the camp, organized under the series of ‘Evening with a Doctor’. The Chennai based SIMS Hospital will conduct the next evening OPD clinic at Guwahai Press Club (GPC) on 22 July. Dr Patta Radhakrishnan (gastroenterology surgeon) will be available from 4 to 6 pm on Saturday for free consultations to the member-journalists of GPC along with their dependents. The last Saturday clinic under the banner of ‘Evening with a Doctor’ at the press club on 8 July was graced by Dr Chandramouli from Fortis Hospital Bangalore, where over 20 participants received free consultations from the senior physician.

EMFA sticks to scribes’ protection

JFA appreciates Guwahati media house for wage enhancement

Journalists’ Forum Assam (JFA) appreciated the management of Niyomiya Barta (www.niyomiyabarta.org) for announcing Majithia wage board benefits to its employees including journalists. The media forum welcomed the development as the newly launched Assamese daily emerged as the second newspaper to honour the verdict of the Supreme Court in northeast India.
