The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) has sanctioned Rs 25 crore to introduce air ambulance service in remote locations of Manipur, Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has said.

Interacting with media persons at the Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday, the Manipur Governor Dr Najma said the amount was sanctioned by the DoNER Ministry after she personally moved the proposal in a recent meeting of the North Eastern Council (NEC).

“Discussions are on to decide the proposed air medical service delivery model in the state,” the Governor said.

“We’re putting efforts together to have everybody involved into this Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Cleanliness is seva because we do the seva not only to our people but to our country,” she stated._________________
