A Teacher's Environmental Leadership Workshop in Guwahati on Saturday stressed the need to concentrate on environment for a better tomorrow.
Organized under the aegis of Kids For Tigers - The Sanctuary Tiger Programme, at the Maria's Public School, in the city, the programme started with an address by Biswajit De to be followed by an introductory talk about the Kids For Tigers programme.
The Kids For Tigers programme has been implemented with select schools of Guwahati and Tezpur by Green Guard Nature Organization since several years.
The screening of 'How Whales Change Climate' was followed by a talk by Mr. Ramananda Haloi about his experiences at the Kids ForTigers National Camp 2016-17 at Ranthambore earlier this year.
Another feature of the workshop is the presentation on the 'Climate Crisis & It's Solutions' by Biswajit De who focussed on the global initiatives of Maria's Public School. He narrated his experiences of working on international projects.
The final presentation about the grassroots community conservation initiatives of Green Guard Nature Organization.
The workshop ended with the presentation of certificates and lunch. Green Guard Nature Organization members Diganta Goswami, Hitjyoti Sharma, Manash JT, Gaurab Talukdar and Nayan Jyoti Devi attended the workshop and contributed the photos.
