GUWAHATI:A local court in the city of Guwahati rejected the bail petitions moved by the KMSS leaders a day after police arrested them for allegedly disrupting the ongoing eviction drive in the Amchang Wildlife sanctuary.
Identified as Bedanta Laskar, Dharya Konwar and Gopi Saikia were produced before the chief judicial magistrate on Tuesday who remanded the trio to the jail.Notably, police arrested them on Monday as they staged protest against the eviction drive along with the illegal settlers who were evicted.
Police have charged them with trying to fuel the protest by the evicted people.
For the second consecutive day, police conducted a raid at the KMSS office on Tuesday.
