NAGAON: Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain laid the foundation stone of a railway flyover at Kampur railway gate by pressing a remote from Kampur Railway station in the Nagaon district on Friday.
The bridge will be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 40.00 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Construction work is expected to begin within the next 3 months and that once work is completed, the people of Kampur area will be free of impediments.
Gohain also said that the infrastructure of Kampur Railway station will also be developed soon.
Legislators Siladitya dev, Rupak Sharma and Dibeswar Das, Deputy Commissioner of Nagaon Biswajit Pegu, Superintendent of Police Nagaon Shankar Raimedhi were among those who were present on the occasion.
It may be mentioned here that Constant traffic Congestion at Kampur level crossing have drove the residents to take out various protest rallies demanding a railway flyover for last couple of years or so.
