Third Eye selected by NEC to train youths

Third Eye has been selected by North Eastern Council (NEC) to train over 500 unemployed youth of the North East and subsequently place them. This was informed by the Director of Training Services; Third Eye, Sharmistha Nandi Paliwal at Freshmen Social program address last evening. Third Eye College, a premier institute in North East, an initiative of the Third Eye Infosys (P) Ltd, Guwahati celebrated its Fresher's Social on the 24th of October 2008 in Pragjyotika ITA Machkhowa, Guwahati. Noted violinist and "Shilpi Sanman awardee" raga musician Mrs Minoti Khound was the chief guest on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Mrs Khound stressed upon the influence of music in building one's personality and also its role in stress management. Music plays a vital role in success of a person while it is equally important to listen and practice soothing musics relevant to the environment; said the music maestro. Later talking to this correspondent she said Assam has done that enough to preserve its heritage musics like sattriya and others. Simply giving away award annually in annual colourful function cannot be a excuse, we need to play it in parallel to other music in cultural programs. The modern day music's root is the classic music that we should listen, recite, play and practice.

Mr Anuj Kumar Paliwal, Director; TEI in his address, briefed the audience and freshers about new developments and initiatives made by Third Eye in the recent past. Mr Paliwal announced that Third Eye has come up with "Finishing School" training for all students enrolled in various degree and masters degree IT courses in the college. This is a value added training provided by highly skilled software professionals to give the students an edge in the job market. Third Eye is also coming up with a "Entrepreneurship Training Program" keeping in mind the growing role of SMEs.

Mrs Minoti Khound later handed over certificates to the students of the college for various academic performances as well as sports. The students of the college presented a colourful cultural program on the occasion.
