IIIT Guwahati Hosts Panel Discussion on Fulfilling Life: Balancing Career, Passion, and Nation-Building

On 11th March 2023, the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati (IIITG) hosted a literary panel discussion on the topic of "A fulfilling life - have a well-paying career, pursue a passion/hobby, contribute to the nation." The event was organized by the IIITG literary club KALRAV in collaboration with Wissen Monk, a leading literary startup from North-East India.

The panel discussion aimed to explore the idea of leading a fulfilling life that balances one's career, passion, and contribution to the nation. The event was well attended by students of IIITG, who engaged in an interactive dialogue with the panel speakers.

The panel speakers included  Bhargav Bharali, Co-Founder of Wissen Monk, and  Nilutpal Gohain, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies for the Government of Assam and author of the famous book "The Legend of Lachit Borphukan." The speakers shared their success stories and personal notions of fulfillment.

The speakers emphasized the importance of pursuing one's passion while also having a well-paying career to sustain it. They also emphasized the need for backup plans in today's competitive world. They highlighted the role of contributing to the nation, stating that whatever one does should add some value to take the country to greater heights. The panel also discussed the importance of self-love and working with perseverance, passion, and determination for one's success.

During the event, students posed several questions to the panel, such as how to help others and why contribution to the nation is essential. The panel responded with examples and stories from their life experiences.  Nilutpal Gohain also spoke about his book "The Legend of Lachit Borphukan" and the recently released web series based on it.

Overall, the panel discussion was an engaging and informative event that encouraged students to think about how to balance their career, passion, and contribution to the nation.
