There was a bomb blast in the Fancy Bazar area, Guwahati on Saturday at around 3 in the afternoon. According to eye witnesses, the blast source was a 'larger diwali cracker' kept in a dust bin. Assam BJP's poll panel is meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday where poll candidates are set to be screened. Central BJP leaders told Assam Times that Chief Ministerial candidate Sarbananda Sonowal is presiding over the meeting in presence of Ram Madhab, Biyoja Chakrabarty, Ramen Deka, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
