Nazira, April 10: The declaration of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination results has brought encouraging news for the Nazira subdivision, with several government educational institutions registering commendable performances and reinforcing confidence in the region’s academic progress.
Nazira Bartala Higher Secondary School once again upheld its reputation by securing an impressive pass percentage of 95.74. Out of 47 candidates who appeared, 24 achieved first division and 21 secured second division, while 14 students earned letter marks across subjects.
Nazira Higher Secondary Multipurpose School also delivered a satisfactory outcome, recording an 81 percent pass rate. Among the 38 candidates, 9 secured first division, 21 second division, and 1 third division, with 8 students obtaining letter marks.
From the tea garden belt, Ligiripukhuri Higher Secondary School demonstrated a strong showing with a 93 percent pass rate. Of the 43 candidates, 9 passed in first division, 30 in second, and 1 in third division. The school recorded notable subject-wise achievements, including 10 letter marks in Assamese and 2 in English.
Hatipoti Higher Secondary School achieved a 90 percent pass rate, with 4 students securing first division, 17 second division, and 7 third division. Chakimukh Higher Secondary School followed with an 85.45 percent pass percentage, where 8 out of 55 candidates secured first division and 38 second division.
Nazira Girls’ Higher Secondary School reported a pass percentage of 78.9. The school produced 3 star mark holders, 12 first division, 31 second division, and 2 third division results. A standout achievement came from Barsha Banya Das, who secured a perfect score of 100 in the Retail subject. The school also saw strong subject-wise performances, with 22 letter marks in Information Technology and several in English, Retail, Assamese, Hindi, Science, and Mathematics.
Nazira No-Mati Higher Secondary School achieved a remarkable 100 percent pass rate, with all 9 candidates clearing the examination. Mezenga Higher Secondary School recorded an 82 percent pass rate, with 67 of 81 candidates passing. Among them, 13 secured first division and 53 second division, while 3 students earned star marks and 42 obtained letter marks.
Nazira Sankardev Shishu Niketan continued its consistent academic excellence with a 100 percent pass rate. The institution produced 1 distinction holder, 14 star mark achievers, 21 first division results, and 3 in second division, along with 57 letter marks across subjects.
Among private institutions, St. Piters School, Nazira Mezenga, delivered an outstanding performance with 105 candidates appearing. Of them, 13 secured distinction and 34 achieved star marks, while 95 passed in first division and 10 in second division. Gurukul Nazira also posted impressive results, registering a 96 percent pass rate, with 4 distinctions, 17 star marks, 43 first division, and 5 second division results out of 50 candidates.
Overall, the HSLC results reflect a steady and encouraging academic trend across Nazira subdivision, with government schools in particular demonstrating significant improvement and resilience in delivering quality education.
