Confident PM says UPA will form next govt

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh says he is confident that the Congress and its allies will be able to form the next government at the Centre.
Addressing a press conference at the Amingaon based Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday, Dr Singh says terrorism would get a fitting reply in a country like India and that it has been harming the country a lot.

The Prime Minister admitted that Assam’s perennial flood problem is a national problem and in the same breath he deplored at that his government could declare it a national problem due to some problem. But he stressed a permanent solution to the problem. He said AUDF could only divide the secular votes.

He further said he and his wife are scheduled to come to Guwahati to case his vote on April 23.
