Two days after he slipped into police dragnet in Bangalore, DHD(J) chairman Jewel Garlosa was brought to Guwahati on Friday.

A top level police team led by Central western range DIG G P Singh took away the top terrorist Immediately after he landed at the Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Jewel was taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation in connection with a number of cases. Details are awaited.

Notably, a high level police team apprehended Jewel, two of his associates the face of terror in NC hills from a hotel in Bangalore on Wednesday midnight.

Mohilary distributes land pattas

A total of 702 tribal families were given away land pattas, covering 300 bighas of forest land under the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006 under Chirang Forest Division at a function held at Dhunabari Lower Primary school in Chirang Tuesday. PM steps down

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh put in his papers before the President on Saturday. Chief minister Tarun Gogoi said that he would quit taking moral responsibility of his party's dismal show in the Lok Sabha polls.
